Hawker 800 Series Aircraft Information

The Hawker 800 is a development of British Aerospace BAe 125 and is currently produced by Hawker Beechcraft. The aircraft is a mid-size, twin-engined corporate airplane. The 800 has the capacity for two pilots and eight to thirteen passengers. Empty weight is 15,670 lb (7108 kg) and maximum takeoff weight is 28,000 lb (12,701 kg). The cruise speed is 402 knots (463 mph, 745 km/h) and maximum speed is 448 knots (514 mph, 830 km/h).

Variant models of the Hawker 800 include the 750, Hawker 800A, Hawker 800XP, Hawker 800XPI, 850XP, Hawker 900XP, U-125, and RC-800. The 800 series features several modifications and changes over the Hawker 700 series. The most noticeable modification is a redesigned cockpit windscreen. The 800 also features a modified rear fuselage fairing as well as a glass cockpit and Garrett TFE731-5R-1H engines. The aircraft's wings were improved by incorporating new other wing sections to help reduce drag and improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Certified for operation in March 2006, the current version is known as the Hawker 850XP. This aircraft is identical to the 800XP except that it includes winglets. The winglets have extended its operating range by 100 nautical miles. The 850XP also features upgraded avionics and a redesigned interior.
