Detailed Description

1942 Boeing PT-17 Stearman with ground up restoration in 1993.  Continental W-670 overhauled by Radial Engines LTD. Aircraft comes with zero time McCauley steel and 46 hour Sensinich wooden propellers. KY-97 navcom, KLN 90-B GPS, GTX 335 ADS-B out transponder, Kannad GPS-ELT, intercom.  Good paint and fabric - Army Air Corps livery - functional interior.  Redline brakes, five point restraints, Airwolf remote filter, oil tank heater.  Comes with towbar, loose tools, spare parts, desulfator battery minder, new canvas cover, DC headsets/helmets/goggles.  Mechanically solid.  Logbooks since 1946. Annual Nov 2024. Always hangared since 1993 restoration.      Zero time since AD McCauley propeller available for additional $5000.

Avionics / Equipment

KY-97 comm, KLN-90B GPS, GTX 335 ADSB out.  Kannad (GPS) ELT, intercom, dual PTT.  Stratus ADSB in.  UMA recording tachometer rear,  Mitchell front.

Airframe

Ground up restoration 1993.  Fuselage frame reoiled and repainted.  All new wood spars and ribs in wings.  Blue River Ceconite.  Tailwheel assembly rebuilt 2021. Always hangared since restoration.

Engines / Mods / Prop

302 hrs SMOH (2015) by Radial Engines Limited in Guthrie, OK.  Roller bearings. Wire sparkplugs. Engine leaks a little oil in flight  from #2 exhaust pushrod tube, but never drips. Eclipse E-80 starter 2022 - typically starts on second or third blade.  Jasco alternator.  Spare Stromberg NAR-6G carburetor.  New Sensinich wood and 0 time since inspection McCaulley props.  1942 Lincoln penny.

Interior / Exterior

Good paint. Some cracking along stall strip on lower wing and right fuselage (exhaust). Unpainted rivets from repair of cracks on aft engine cowling. Fabric great shape.  Interior is functional, consistent with a military trainer.  Five point restraints.

Mechanically sound airplane - well maintained.
