    Detailed Description

CESSNA O-2A COMBAT HISTORY • Cessna O-2A. Total IRAN over a five year period begining in the 2010. The engines were overhauled by Performance Engines with all upgrades. The airplane is painted in the same color scheme it flew in during it's tours in Loas patroling the "Trail". The airplane has flown less that 30 hours since it was restored. This is not your usual Skymaster, this is a documented Warbird. It has been in storage in Northern Nevada for the last three years.
The Cactus Air Force Museum in Carson City, NV. is liquidating aircraft that are surplus to their needs. This O2 was purchased by the museum out of military surplus at Davis Monthan Air Force Base Disposal along with three other O2s. The airplane was shipped to Carson City to the museum for restoration. Looking into the history of the airplane it turned out this airplane had more "kills' than any other O2 in Vietnam. It was decided to restore the airplane to the configuration and appearance it operated in during its Vietnam/Laos service. The airplane was completely gone through (IRAN). Engines and props were overhauled, rewired, recertified into Standard category. It was flown a few hours in 2018/19. It was on display in the museum for a couple of years. Around 2021 it was moved to our storage facility where it was preserved for storage and now sits.
The museum is closed. It is more convenient for us to sell the airplane "as is where is". It's going to need a battery and an annual or ferry permit. As you can see there's no back seats in the airplane. The C377 had six seats in it originally. The O2 version was set up for two people. Because it's in the standard category I don't think it will be any trouble to add seats to the airplane. We will discount the airplane to an individual that wants to purchase the airplane "as is where is".
