Glasair 1 RG serial 715R for sale. 1280 total time, 746 on engine, prop. this is one of the later and more upgraded kits built out of KCCR in the 80's and 90's. larger tail, larger fuel - all in main wing tanks - no header tank to leak, long & short tips. builder was 6'3 / plenty leg/head room. Recent 6 year rebuild, many upgrades and excellent build quality. All new panel with 100% Garmin - Dual G3X units, 1-G5, gfc500, gtn650, gdl50R, gtr20R, gma245R, gtx35R and all new wiring harnesses. full IFR capable setup. Upgrades to airframe, rear access panel to tail, new fasteners for all control rods cables. manual flaps, new electric servo's for elevator and aileron trim. new Lighting, LED Strobe and Nav lighting, Halogen with wig wag, for landing lights in leading edges. modified engine cowl and baffling / cooling for oil and airbox inlet. More M.P. also newly overhauled prop with new back plate, spinner combo. Engine is a LYCON built O-360 with 9.50:1 flowed cylinder 200+HP. CS Hartzell 2 blade 73" with F76666a blades. cruise 175-KTS easy on 9gph or go fast 205-KTS on 12-14gph . fully loaded. I am open to options: selling outright for $149k OBO, or taking on 2 partners $50k each and staying based at KCCR, where it's currently Hangered. 1992 glasair 1 RG SH2 serial 715R Built 1992-1995 Airworthiness may 1995. Built with larger tail feathers like 2SRG. Upgraded gear and pump. 54 gals in wing no header tank. Extended tips no fuel. Also have short tips. New access panel for rear fuselage / tail inspection / work, New full wiring throughout to support New Garmin panel, new lighting, new autopilot. Added new linear actuator for elevator trim with feedback for position indication in G3X.
LyCon rebuilt IO360, angle valve 9.5:1, balanced flowed cylinders. 213 HP dyno. Fresh o/H on prop by Stockton propeller. New spinner backplate to allow more prop pitch.
Spartan interior however does have multi layer density foam in seat base-backs. Semi permanent Oxygen. Interior lighting for night time loading unloading. 100# baggage capacity.
See pics of Alt-speeds vs. engine settings temps. This is a fast G1 on good fuel burn at altitude. Plane has been flown to 17,995' fully loaded, even though normal aspirated. Still climbing @200fpm. Second owner, original builder was at KCCR, where 10+ Glasairs were built in late 80's early 90's. Fantastic build quality on this. Now all new fuel lines and electrical cables, as well as almost all fasteners replaced. Exterior 8/10 Interior finish 6/10 Mechanically 9/10.
