10/10 Interior, custom grey leather with embroidered headrests, salt and pepper carpet, light grey headliner 9/10 Paint, shiny as the day it was new. Minor blemishes here and there that have been touched up from chips over the years Socata calls it a "5-seater"....it has 5 seatbelts. Realistically 3 adults+ full fuel or 2 adults and 2-3 smaller children. Very Similar to a Cherokee 180 or Archer platform but 2 doors and more comfortable/ergonomic.
The TB-10 is a very stable, very comfortable, very responsive multi-mission IFR trainer/medium cross country platform. Push Rod connections give you smooth response with little control input. Large "Hershy Bar" Type wing is like a Cherokee and almost impossible to stall. It's Glide Ratio is 10 to 1. Socata hired a designer from Ferrari to layout the cockpit and it's ergonomic and extremely comfortable. Foward and side visiblity is best in class which is perfect in a training environment. Constant Speed Prop introduces you engine management and you'll cruise between 10-12 GPH depending on how fast you want to go. This plane was owned by a single owner for over 25 years, hangared in Columbus Ohio and babied. When the Engine Overhaul was done, Penn-Yan said it didn't need it but they did it on time anyhow. Prior Owner had to stop flying in 2016 and pickled the engine in mineral oil, stored the plane in heated hangar until I purchased it from him in late 2020. We did have to pull 2 Cylinders at the second annual to re-seat/OH the exhaust valves from visible lead build up that could be seen on borescope, you'll see that in the logs *they were not removed for low compression or ring issues (I've been asked that) My initial intention when I purchased was to upgrade it, finish my commercial, allow my daughter to take lessons and keep it for life. 4 years later my mission has changed significantly and I needed to return to a high performance long cross-country plane to fly to Colorado frequently, so this is the reason for sale. It was in great shape when I bought it, we continued to proactively replace things when we did the extensive avionics upgrade b/c it required us to remove many of the control surfaces and get into every inch of the aircraft....so it made sense to IRAN every inch of the aircraft while we were there. You will see others on Trade-a-plane for a lower price with old paint, old interior, old avionics and who knows how the plane was maintained and engine managed....I'm a big Mike Bush fan and so was the prior owner, so it's been run and maintained like an engine should.
