Detailed Description

ExcelAir8 is proud to present N30F, a fully-restored Cessna T-50 Bobcat (AT-17). These aircraft, lovingly dubbed the "Bamboo Bombers," served as light bomber trainers and executive transports during the WWII era for the Air Corps and Navy. You can now own a piece of history - one of the last remaining T-50s in showroom condition.

N30F has been meticulously stored in its own hangar at an airport in Central Missouri and was part of a collection of vintage & warbird aircraft. The airplane comes complete with all logs and even a flight log of its destinations and missions during its military service. With only 547 hours total time, this bird has many more hours left. It is poised to turn heads and win awards at Oshkosh, Sun & Fun and others.

It is powered by two Jacobs R-755 seven-cylinder radials. All instrumentation worked correctly and appropriately on its demo ground run in early August 2024. The exterior and interior are in immaculate condition that must be seen in person to be appreciated. Included with the sale is a spare Jacobs radial for spare parts or as an overhaul candidate when replacement time comes down the road. Engines were scoped with zero signs of corrosion or damage found.

The aircraft has a current registration and is in very good condition but it is out of annual and the seller and broker are selling as-is. The last inspection was a 100-hour completed in 2015 and an annual in 2009. The local A&P IA who maintained this aircraft for its owner noted that it would take little to get her back in-annual and ready to fly to her new home. Its impressive condition and lack of any known squawks make it a potential ferry candidate as well.
