CUSTOMIZED QUICKSILVER MXII • We doubt there is a nicer single seat Quicksilver anywhere, it would be impossible to build for <$30K today...this incredibly fun flying machine is zero time after complete renovation by an experienced A&P, with new sails, engine top-end rebuild, all new electrical system and refreshed components. Unique spark plugs up, underwing engine mount that gets the motor off the pilot's helmet while maintaining the stock thrust line, no pitching down with throttle as with an overwing mount, no V-belts or driveshaft either. Absolutely the most fun ever! Located at Lodi Airport (1O3), hangar space is immediately available to buyer. Contact Bill Bardin - CALIFORNIA SPORT AVIATION - (916) 799-6079
Complete analog instrumentation (altitude, airspeed, turn & bank, compass, EGT/CHT) plus digital tachometer.
This is a two-owner aircraft, first purchased new in 1993. Total airframe & engine time is under 200 hours. Always hangared, new sails were installed well ahead of requirements. The underwing spark plugs up steel engine cage maintains the stock thrust line, while allowing for a gearbox and eliminating upside down engine maintenance issues.
Rotax 503 DCDI, total time 180 hours, zero time since top-end rebuild. Rotax electric starter. Rotax B gearbox. Underwing spark plugs up steel engine mount, stock thrust line.
New sails. Custom painted GT500 style faring. Overhead switch box with Hobbs meter. Kuntzleman wingtip strobe lights. Seat back electrical compartment with battery, Key West voltage regulator, starter relay and battery cutoff switch.
Not a Part 103 ultralight (pieces that add weight are safety related), can be registered as LSA or Experimental, we can help you get this done if you wish. Expired BRS-5 750 ballistic parachute and rigging included but not installed on the aircraft. Based at Lodi Airport (1O3) where initial and transition instruction is available.
