POLIKARPOV PO-2 RUSSIAN WWII • Please note the first picture is not of my plane. This would be a file photo. WWII Warbird Probably one of the last inexpensive Warbirds that can be purchased these days. Rebuilt and flown in Russia. The aircraft was then Imported to the US where it was uncovered for inspection as intentions were to build it for my 4th Oshkosh Champion. This time for a Warbird Champion for less than the big bucks for most WWII airplanes. 2 each Russian overhauled M-11F 150 HP radial. Excellent wood work verified. Just the fuselage would have been quite costly for restoration. Much less the wings, stab, vertical, rudder, elevators, center section and ailerons which are all new. New Struts. New Gas Tank. New Engine mount. Plus a used engine mount comes with it. These were flown by the Night Witches during WWII. Very interesting history. Have aircraft manuals
N/A
Completely rebuilt and flown in Russia. After receiving in the US the Linen was removed from the fuselage for inspection. The work done was excellent and the proper wood and grain for the application. Original hardware is on the plane such as seats, seat mounts, instruments and panels, flight controls, air tank, landing gear for a flying airplane.
2 M-11 F engines with Russian overhaul. I would go through them just to check them out and clean and paint for an Oshkosh Champion. Russians do not repaint engines when they overhaul them.
Bare interior of painted wood.
Rare Warbird probably because they are all wood construction and even though a lot of them were built there are 2 others in the US and a few in Europe. Paul Allen and Kermit Weeks both have Po2s.
